Thermal transfer vs direct thermal
Thermal transfer uses a ribbon to lay ink on the label. Choose it when labels need abrasion resistance, chemical exposure tolerance, or longer archive life. Direct thermal skips the ribbon but fades faster in heat and UV.
Matching ribbons
Wax ribbons suit everyday paper shipping labels; wax/resin covers coated stock; resin is for synthetics and harsh environments. Browse ribbon landings under Thermal ribbons, then confirm width and printer path.

FAQ
Which ribbon should I use?
Match ink grade to face stock and environment — wax for paper, wax/resin for coated, resin for synthetics. See the thermal ribbons hub for grade guidance.
Do you carry tinted or removable stock?
Yes — see the tinted and removable label landings, or filter the labels catalog by line.
Is wholesale pricing public on this page?
No. Specs and featured SKUs are public. Negotiated tier pricing and cart require a signed-in wholesale account.
